A French bell-striking mantel clock. Mechanical movement, French , round brass plate, bell visible at top, and pendulum suspension are all consistent with a classic French “count wheel” or “rack and snail” striking movement, likely an 8-day movement.

Ticks and strikes however once hung will need to be put in beat.
