Ansonia Brass Copper Co. shelf Clock
For your consideration today we have the following for sale.
An Ansonia Brass & Copper Co. shelf clock 1870-1877.
A precursor company to the Ansonia Clock Co., formed in 1877.
This large clock has a 33-inch case in veneered rosewood in average condition.
I do believe that both glasses appear to be original.
The painted 12-inch dial has some old paint and scattered chipping.
The hands are proper Ansonia hands.
The unsigned 8-day, time-and-strike brass movement is running without issue, but the strike hammer is not fully engaged by the strike chain and will need adjustment.
It strikes on a wire gong.
Good pendulum.
It is driven by two 8-day cast iron weights.
There is a good label inside.
See pictures as they are part of the listing.
Normal wear, blemishes, for age.
No key.
Make a fair offer.
