Large English Antique Bracket Clock
For your consideration today we have the following for sale.
A Bianchi & Son, Tunbridge, Wells, a substantial early 20th century quarter striking bracket clock.
The clock has the ebonized case with molded base on gilt paw feet, front with glazed door and stop chamfered corners having green man caryatid mounts above floral pendants, the sides with cast sunburst frets with C scrolls and central mask, rear door with lyre form fret, and bell top with festoon mounts and five urn and flame finials, composite dial with gilt spandrels, silvered chapter ring, matted center, subsidiary dials in the arch for regulation and chime, and blued steel hands.
The clock has a two train chiming fusee Winterhalder & Hofmeier movement with dead beat escapement, rise and fall regulation, sounding full Westminster quarters on four gongs, and counting the hours on a fifth.
The clock has a heavy brass pendulum.

The dial is good overall, subsidiary dials some blemishes and hands also.
Clock needs a cleaning.
The movement plates are solid and very heavy.
The clock is running, striking and chiming functional but out of sequence. Will need adjustment.
