My Story
About Us, some people collect stamps. Some collect coins. We collect time — and for the past ten years, that passion has driven everything we do at SLC Clocks. What started as a deep love for mechanical timepieces has grown into a full-time obsession: sourcing, restoring, and rehoming clocks that deserve a second life. Over the last decade, we’ve bought and sold hundreds of clocks — from ornate grandfather clocks with century-old movements to compact mantel pieces that once graced a family’s living room for generations. Each one has a story, and we love being part of that story’s next chapter. But buying and selling is only half of what we do. The repair bench is where the real magic happens. There’s nothing quite like taking a clock that hasn’t ticked in years — maybe decades — cleaning out the dust and grime, coaxing the movement back to life, and hearing that first steady beat again. We’ve rebuilt movements, replaced worn-out mainsprings, sourced parts that don’t exist in any catalog, and fabricated ones that simply couldn’t be found. If it ticks, we can fix it. And if it used to tick, we’ll do our best to make it tick again. Over the past ten years we’ve learned that clocks aren’t just décor — they’re heirlooms, investments, and conversation pieces. Whether you’re looking to add a statement piece to your home, offload a clock you’ve inherited and aren’t sure what to do with, or just need that beloved family timepiece running properly again, you’ve come to the right place. We know this world inside and out, and we’re always happy to talk clocks.
